Mid-monthly Coffee Morning Sat 14th Sept 2024

The September mid-monthly coffee morning at the hall will be on Sat 14th September, 10am until 11.30am, with lots of yummy home-made cakes on sale, plus Kingsharp will be in the car park to sharpen your blunt things from 10am until 12noon. Everyone welcome!

Annual Onion Show Sun 1st Sept 2024

Only a couple of days to go now, entries to be in from 10am until 12.00 mid-day. It's 30p an entry or 4 for £1!!! Kids are free. Venue: Burton Memorial Hall, Main Street, Burton in Kendal.
 
So if your not polishing onions or pulling leeks, you can always make something for one of the other class, the more entries the bigger the show, the more we raise for some amazing causes.
 
Get the kids involved, there are some great classes for them to get creative. Looking forward to seeing some decorated onions.
 
The recreation trust will be there, running their well stocked bar, there will be plenty of craft ale to drunk. There will be burgers and hot dogs available also. The weather is looking good so the bouncy castle will be there to keep the little ones happy.
 
There will be a card machine on the day, but cash will be easier all round. And tickets for the amazing raffle will be cash only. Loads of fantastic promises have come in, hopefully I'll get them out for you to look at before Sunday.
