Pre-Season Update – August 2026

The new table tennis season starts at the beginning of September. Hopefully it will have cooled down a bit by then!

Competitive table tennis in the Kendal & District Table Tennis League will begin week commencing September 28th, 2026. Anyone interested in playing for Burton in the KDTTL this season should let me know as soon as possible (phone, text or WhatsApp Tony March on 07814 029471 or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.). Match practice will take place from 7.00 to 8.30 pm on Wednesday, September 2nd and then each Wednesday until home matches start on September 30th.

Junior table tennis will resume on Thursday, September 3rd @ 5.00 pm and will be followed by the first Adult Social session from 6.00 to 7.00 pm. I will be contacting everyone who attended the Adult Social last season and the parents of junior players but anyone new should again contact me in the way detailed above and I will provide more details.

We are currently considering the possibility of introducing an additional adult social table tennis session to take place during the day. If anybody would be interested in such a session, please let me know.

We are a local collection point for Morecambe Bay Foodbank!

Morecambe Bay Foodbank will accept all donations but are especially keen to have:

Tins of: beans; meat(s); fruits; vegetables; fish; soup; tomatoes; rice pudding
Bottles of: squash; juice (esp. orange); jam; pasta sauce
Packets of: pasta; sugar; cereal; teabags; instant noodles; instant rice; biscuits; custard; instant mash

If anyone in Burton would like to donate to the food bank but cannot get to our collection box at 4 Drovers Way LA6 1HU please message us and we'll arrange for a pick up from you, or if you prefer you can donate money directly to the food bank via this link, and thank you for all of your support so far.
