Welcome to the Village Coffee Morning at Burton Memorial Hall

The next Welcome to the Village coffee morning will be on Saturday 28th March, 10am-12 noon in the main hall. In addition to the usual yummy home-made cakes you will be able to meet and chat with the local groups about what they do and see if you'd like to join in any of them. There will also be Kevin Preston with his spring plant stall in the hall, plus the hall's huge used book sale, whilst in the car park will be Kingsharp sharpening your blunt things again.

SAVE GRANGE LIDO

Since May 2018 we have been actively involved in the campaign to restore the derelict Grange Lido at Grange over Sands. The campaign group is now a Community Benefit Society and is working with Westmorland and Furness Council, the site's owners, on restoration plans. Here at BurtonWeb we are coffee lovers, so when we found a new coffee roastery almost on our doorstep we couldn't resist finding out more about it. Suzi and Alex Carrington have set up their roastery on the Keer Park trading estate in Carnforth and sell a range of wonderful coffees. The roastery is now open on Mondays 9am - 2pm.
