Table top sale for St John's Hospice Sat 31st Jan 2026

There will be a table top sale at Burton Memorial Hall in Burton-in-Kendal on Saturday 31st January 2026, in aid of St John's Hospice. Tables are £10 each and if you would like to book a space please contact Sally Davies on 07875 213529.

SAVE GRANGE LIDO

Since May 2018 we have been actively involved in the campaign to restore the derelict Grange Lido at Grange over Sands. The campaign group is now a Community Benefit Society and is working with Westmorland and Furness Council, the site's owners, on restoration plans. Here at BurtonWeb we are coffee lovers, so when we found a new coffee roastery almost on our doorstep we couldn't resist finding out more about it. Suzi and Alex Carrington have set up their roastery on the Keer Park trading estate in Carnforth and sell a range of wonderful coffees. The roastery is now open on Mondays 9am - 2pm.
