49th Burton Annual Onion Show

The 49th Burton Annual Onion Show will take place at Burton Memorial Hall on Sunday 14th September 2025. This fabulous event is open to anyone to enter, and there's a big selection of categories to try out. So whether you're a grower or a baker, or make jam or keep chickens there is plenty to strive for. Also children's classes! See poster for full details. SAVE GRANGE LIDO

Since May 2018 we have been actively involved in the campaign to restore the derelict Grange Lido at Grange over Sands. The campaign group is now a Community Benefit Society and is working with Westmorland and Furness Council, the site's owners, on restoration plans. Here at BurtonWeb we are coffee lovers, so when we found a new coffee roastery almost on our doorstep we couldn't resist finding out more about it. Suzi and Alex Carrington have set up their roastery on the Keer Park trading estate in Carnforth and sell a range of wonderful coffees. The roastery is now open on Mondays 9am - 2pm.
