Burns Night Supper & Ceilidh Fri 24th Jan 2025

Burton Memorial Hall's annual Burns Night Supper and Ceilidh will be on Friday 24th Januray 2025, with music by Tattie Bogle, solist Val Still and piper Philip Gruar. Food will be by Jan's Pantry of Burton. Tickets £15 each, on sale at the Hall's mid-monthly coffee morning on Sat 21st Dec 10am-11.30am, or by phone from 01524 781306, or in the Village Store in the New Year. Tickets limited to 80. Here at BurtonWeb we are coffee lovers, so when we found a new coffee roastery almost on our doorstep we couldn't resist finding out more about it. Suzi and Alex Carrington have set up their roastery on the Keer Park trading estate in Carnforth and sell a range of wonderful coffees.

SAVE GRANGE LIDO

Since May 2018 we have been actively involved in the campaign to restore the derelict Grange Lido at Grange over Sands. The campaign group is now a Community Benefit Society and is working with Westmorland and Furness Council, the site's owners, on restoration plans.
