Worship in Burton-in-Kendal
Church of England
The Anglican parish church is St James', which stands at the north end of the village alongside the A6070 road. The present vicar is also the incumbent of Holme, (approx 1.5 miles distant) and services take place at both churches each Sunday.
Little Fishes, an activity session for pre-school children (ages 0-4) have a bible-based story followed by a craft activity. First and third Tuesday of each month, term-time only, 2.00-3.00pm at St James' Church, Burton. New fishes always welcome.

Methodists
There are two Methodist Churches fairly close to Burton - one is on the A6 in Milnthorpe (approx 4 miles), and the other is at Warton (approx 5 miles).
