| Main Street Closure 2 - 13 August |
 From the Parish Council Minutes:
Resurfacing work on Main Street is planned to start on Monday 2 August and be completed by Friday 13 August. Main Street will be closed to through traffic for some of this period and a shuttle bus is to be arranged to replace the 555 service.

| Thefts of lead from rooves |
|
We've been told of the theft of lead from the rooves of both the Memorial Hall and Morewood School during the last few days. If anyone saw anything suspicious or has any info that could help find out the perpetrators, please ring Cumbria Police on 0845 33 00 24

The new Parish Clerk to Burton-in-Kendal Parish Council is Peter Smith from Clawthorpe, who took over from Charles Dale at the October PC meeting.
