| New Police non-emergency number - 101 |
 Dial 101 for Police non-emergency contact
The national Single Non Emergency Number (SNEN) 101 has been launched today, Tuesday 13th December along with other forces; Northumbria, Cleveland, Durham and North Yorkshire Police in Durham.
101 is the new easy to remember number for the public to report non-emergencies to the Police and replaces the previously used 0845 number.
For emergencies please continue to use 999.

| Work starting on Burton Memorial Hall |
The contractor has been appointed, the fencing is up, and now things are starting (finally!) to happen on site. The long-awaited children's toilets and improvements to the Hall's heating and lighting systems are happening. Watch this space and we'll keep you updated!
